Simon Divecha - Director
GreenMode's Director, Simon Divecha, has two decades of experience creating environmental change, addressing climate futures and, leading programs that today create the conditions for the growth of sustainable organisations and societies.
Simon has worked extensively on environmental, social, community and business issues, at the international, national and local levels. This includes working with major national and international companies as well as directing international programs in senior roles.
His recent work with business includes managing the approval of a cutting edge $75 million sustainable housing development - Murraylands Life. This innovative project is one of several I have been involved with that are creating new benchmarks for affordable, low environmental impact, living.
Simon also played as a leading role in the successful bid to establish Adelaide as Australia's first Solar City (in collaboration with Origin Energy, BP Solar, ANZ and other companies).
In other roles Simon is currently undertaking a part-time doctorate at Adelaide University. His PhD explores the impact of climate change on business strategy, culture and collaboration in two major international companies. He is also a guest university lecturer, as well as designing and delivering the Adelaide University Masters of Carbon Management in Business course.
Dr Amanda Rischbieth - Associate
Amanda has extensive experience in health predominantly in critical care with over 30 years spent in senior management, clinical, education, research and corporate governance roles in South Australia and United Kingdom.
Her board of director roles span 10 years and include executive and non-executive positions; South Australian Government Motor Sport Board, National Heart Foundation, Leader's Institute of South Australia, Australian College of Critical Care, ShareLife Australia, and Middleton Consulting. She is also a national leadership member of Outcomes Australia (chaired by former Governor General Major General Michael Jeffery).
From 1982-1993, Amanda was a member of the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) Medical Retrieval and Repatriation team participating in numerous complex road, helicopter, fixed-wing aircraft and international patient retrievals and repatriations. She successfully led the commission (in under 13 weeks) of a new private hospital major intensive care unit at Wakefield Hospital in Adelaide which she managed for over 10 years before moving into doctoral study, clinical research, management consultancy and corporate governance.
Amanda was awarded an Australian Post-Graduate Award (APA) full scholarship in 2003 and completed her doctorate (PhD) in 2006 (at The University of Adelaide); a leading national intensive care workforce study matching skill to patient acuity (severity of illness) to reduce risk of adverse event.
An invited lecturer at The University of Adelaide Faculty of Health Sciences, Amanda is a Governors Leadership Foundation (FGLF04) Fellow and current member of the Alumni Executive. A facilitator and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, she has a strong interest and publications in intensive care research, road safety, corporate and research governance, ethics and risk, brokering partnerships, and workforce and organisational change.
As current Director of Research for Calvary Health Care Adelaide (0.5fte) which included the business development of a new Oncology Clinical Trials business, Amanda successfully manages a complex research program across four hospitals.
Amanda also has a management consultancy business in health, workforce, risk, strategy, and governance.
Leanne Muffet - Associate and Principal of Strategic Matters
Strategic Matters is highly regarded for its expertise in strategic planning - including strategic positioning, communication and facilitation, governance and natural resource management. We offer our clients high level planning and facilitation to "sharpen the focus" on decision making for inclusive project planning and partnership outcomes.
Principal consultant Leanne Muffet is a creative and award winning strategic planner and facilitator who employs a wide range of methodologies to support clients through change, fashion practical outcomes and is highly regarded for her ability to engage people in decision-making. With 18 years experience in the public and private sector, her natural affinity for project management and leading teams has been publicly recognised with three Awards of Commendation from the Royal Australian Planning Institute (now Planning Institute of Australia - PIA) from 1997 - 2001.
With a strong background working with boards and senior teams - including three years working with Executive Teams and Elected Members within Local Government, and reporting to the Deputy Prime Minister's Office, Leanne is adept at relationship management at the highest level.
Over the past 10 years Leanne has focused on working with clients on a range of natural resource management and sustainability issues. Her work in the environmental sector has focused on policy and strategy development and collaborative project developments. Leanne's planning and facilitation skills have been employed by many NRM Boards, state and local governments and science based organisations to engage boards, specialists and communities of interest in decisions making on complex issues.
Leanne has a strong research and teaching background in environmental issues. In 1995 she was received the top award for her Honours thesis, she taught three topics at Flinders Universities' School of Geography, Population and Environmental Management, is a graduate of the Governor's Leadership Program and, is a regular guest lecturer at the University of Adelaide's MBA course.
